Hundreds of children and teenagers will participate in the Precious Lives Parade (Cortejo da Vidas Preciosas) 2016, created from the Opera of Stones by the artist Denise Milan, in the streets of Heliópolis on November 11.

The Precious Lives Parade is a street performance that marks the anual closure of the art-education project Engage Earth, created in 2010. The general direction will be from Denise herself and musical direction is in charge of the musician Badi Assad. With the presence of the singer Júnior Almeida and special guest Marina de La Riva. The Precious Lives Parade 2016 has compositions from Clarice Assad, Badi Assad, Carlinhos Antunes, André Mehmari and the hip hop crew Avante - o Coletivo from Heliópolis community - and will also count on the participation of the GPA Group Orchestra, formed by 40 young musicians under the regency of the conductor Daniel Misiuk. The Orchestra will play parts from the Opera of Stones specially adapted by Clarice Assad for the Parade. The event is performed by the Engage Earth Team and by UNAS (Association of Residents of Heliópolis and Region) and has the support of SESC São Paulo.

The concentration will take place at CCA Heliópolis at 1:30pm, located on Rua Coronel Silva Castro, 340. The Parade starts on this location at 2:00pm and walks through the community´s streets untill it gets to CEU Heliópolis, around 3:00pm. The CEU School will be the stage of the great closure presentation of the parade gathering Opera and Hip Hop with the Orchestra sound.
